If you and your partner are looking for a one-of-a-kind adventure and have about 500 days free in 2018, this might be for you.  Financier and aerospace engineer, Dennis Tito, is looking for a married couple he can send to the planet Mars and back.  The privately funded launch would probably happen in January of 2018 when the planets would be correctly aligned for the first manned flight to Mars.  There would not be a landing on the “Red Planet” just a fly-by, but the ride would top most any thrill now available on “Mother Earth”.  The estimated cost for a trip to Mars and back is one billion dollars.  I’m not sure if the passengers have to pay a portion of that or not.  Make sure to take your camera.
