As we get close to the warm days of summer, how about we wipe the winter snow from our eyes, and start thinking about those things we have almost forgotten? For example.....slowing down while driving through a neighborhood where kids might be playing.Those little rascals can jump out in front of your car in an instant,unaware that you even there. Talk about a summer spoiler!! Along those same lines,how about our biker friends?? You've seen the bumper sticker or heard the reminder on KDAL-AM....Start seeing motorcycles....Bikers are for the most part no different than you and me, they enjoy the blue skies and sunny days with a ride on the wind. Most bikers try to drive in a sane manner. The problems develop if they drive in the blind spot behind your car. You can't see 'em in your side view mirror,and may make a quick lane change or turn, which could put them into your quarter panel or trunk. Please watch out for them, okay? One other caution. Some of the bigger bikes such as the Goldwings and BMW's run with no more noise a whisper.You might not know that they are right on your tail.Finally a word for the boaters.....practice what you learned about courtesy and safety. Outfit your boat so that the USCG....Sheriff....or PD will have reason to ticket you. Summer is almost here!
