There comes a time, when we need to get it together as a commmunity and realize that while we live in a very nice part of Minnesota, it sometimes seems as though we are living in a world of where reality just doesn't exist. To bring it home, I visited the city of Superior last week to help a daughter try to trap a family of foxes located under a deck in the rear of her home. While contemplating a way to lure them into the trap, it occured to me that this city looked pretty good in comparison to our own. I was born and raised in Superior, and had forgotten how beautiful the yards, gardens, and trees were. How folks cared for their homes, and how quiet it was. Could it be that Superior is now the new bedroom community for Duluth? It was such a revelation to me. My home town has grown up and , by the way, the cost of housing is about one third to one half less. I'm thinking that green and yellow is not too bad after all.
