DE PERE, Wis. (WTAQ) - Barack Obama’s approval rating in Wisconsin is the lowest of his presidency. 44 percent of the 400 adults in the Wisconsin Public Radio-St. Norbert College survey approve of the job Obama’s doing. That’s down from 50 percent last fall and 60 percent a year ago, soon after his term started.
Congress got a much lower approval rating from Wisconsinites – just 14 percent. That’s down from 39 percent last spring, and only 16 percent in the fall of 2008. 38 percent said the country is heading in the right direction. That’s about the same as last fall. The poll was taken from March 23rd through last Wednesday. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 5 points.
