(Chicago, IL) -- A group of midwestern states including Minnesota and Wisconsin, will be in federal court in Chicago today. They want Illinois ordered to take tougher steps to stop Asian carp from getting into Lake Michigan. Their lawsuit was prompted by the discovery of a 20-pound Asian carp only six miles from Lake Michigan. The Illinois D-N-R says tests show the carp might have been put there by someone. Minnesota Attorney General Lori Swanson says the threat of Asian carp is real and a danger to Minnesota's tourism and fishing industries.
