Federal officials are promising an oil spill from a Michigan pipeline is not a threat to the Great Lakes.  The EPA says the 820 thousand gallon spill has been contained on the Kalamazoo River, roughly 50 miles from Lake Michigan.  Crews have been using oil collection booms along the river since the spill was detected on Tuesday.  The pipeline owner, Enbridge, says work is underway to dig up the damaged portion of pipe so repairs can be made.
