A federal mediator has called SMDC and the nurses union back to the bargaining table on Tuesday.  The talks are being held under the threat of a one day strike that has been called for next Tuesday, September 14th.  Meanwhile, the nurses and St. Lukes Hospital reached a tentative agreement last week and nurses will vote on that pact Wednesday
