A 41-year-old Grand Haven Township man is recovering from injuries suffered when he was struck from behind while riding his bike early Tuesday morning. Lt. Lee Hoeksema of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department says Steven Tucker was riding his mountain bike on the edge of the roadway on Groesbeck Street, just west of 152nd Avenue, just after 7:30 a.m. when he was struck by a Jeep Liberty driven by a 45-year-old Grand Haven Township woman. Tammi Cooper told the sheriff's department that she didn't see Tucker because he didn't have lights or reflectors on the bike and he was wearing dark clothing. Tucker was taken to North Ottawa Community Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
