MADISON, WI (KDAL) - Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker has approved grants totaling 6.8 million dollars for three harbor projects in the state including at the Hallett Dock in Superior.  The city will use just over 3.3 million dollars to dredge 1500 feet of vessel slip and install sheet piling for an adjacent dock wall.  The current slip depth limits fully loaded vessels from delivery cargoes to the northern third of the dock.  Hallett receives, stores and ships limestone, salt and calcium chloride.  Other grants go to the city of Two Rivers and Milwaukee for harbor improvements.
