INTERNATIONAL FALLS, MN (KDAL) – Voyageurs National Park is conducting aerial surveys to determine the number and location of bald eagle nesting pairs within the park.
The park is following recommended conservation management actions to protect America’s National Bird from disturbance and harassment.
Voyageurs Park has temporarily closed the land and water areas around active eagle nests to visitor use each year since 1992.
Closed areas will be marked with signs and buoys and will be reopened once the young eagles have left the nests.
