DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The 2020 edition of the Black Woods Blizzard Tour begins with a reception in Proctor on Wednesday.
The 3 day snowmobile ride and fundraiser for the ALS Association gets underway Thursday morning as riders depart for the Fortune Bay Resort at Lake Vermilion.
On Friday, the tour continues as participants ride down the north shore to Two Harbors.
The final leg of the ride is Saturday as riders return to Proctor and then enjoy a celebration dinner hosted by Black Woods at Cirrus Aircraft on Saturday night.
Proceeds from the Blizzard Tour benefit those living with ALS and their families in Minnesota, North and South Dakota and in Superior, Wisconsin.
The goal of the 250 riders is to raise a million dollars again this year. The tour has contributed over 11 million dollars to fight ALS in the last two decades.
Minnesota Twins Legends Terry Steinbach and Kent Hrbek and current Detroit Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire will again participate in the ride.
