DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Duluth fireworks display that was postponed from the 4th of July to the Labor Day weekend has now been canceled.
It was hoped that the COVID-19 concerns in early July would improve to allow for the fireworks program to be held on September 7th.
However, Mayor Emily Larson says since last year’s display drew around ten thousand people to the Bayfront Park area, it would be far more than the state’s “Stay Safe” plan that allows only 250 people at indoor and outdoor events.
