SAO PAULO (Reuters) – Testing meat products and packages for potential coronavirus contamination before cargos are shipped to China is “extremely complex,” executives at Brazilian food company BRF SA told journalists on Thursday.
BRF said that despite the logistical difficulties to test cargos, it can guarantee its products are safe for consumption as they are produced at “sanitized” factories. BRF’s managers also said there are no employees with a confirmed COVID-19 test currently working at its factories.
