WASHINGTON (Reuters) – China has taken no action to address fundamental U.S. concerns about where the bilateral ties are going, the State Department’s top diplomat for East Asia said on Thursday, as tensions between the world’s top two economies remained high.
In a conference call with reporters, David Stilwell, Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs said Washington has conveyed Beijing its concerns and that it expects to see action accompanying any potential talks.
