ST. PAUL, MN (CBS-3) – The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources issued eight decisions Thursday surrounding the proposed Enbridge Line 3 Pipeline.
The decisions grant permits for water and utility work across the state.
Enbridge is proposing to construct a new oil pipeline in Minnesota, replacing its existing Line 3.
The pipeline would transport oil to Enbridge’s terminal in Superior.
In a statement, Enbridge officials says the authorizations and approvals from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources are an important step towards the construction of the Line 3 Replacement Project.
Thursday’s decisions also pave the way for a determination from US Army Corps of Engineers regarding federal permits.
