DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The nearly day long stand-off in the 2300 block of West 4th Street in Duluth came to an end around 4 p-m Friday when the suspect was shot and killed by St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team officers.
The Minnesota BCA is now investigating the incident and has not yet identified the officers involved in the shooting.
The suspect in the stand-off that began as a physical domestic call, was identified by the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office as 37 year old David Joseph Wayne Conwell of Duluth.
During a search of the home by Duluth Police, following the initial call Thursday night, K-9 Luna was shot and the stand-off began.
When complete, the BCA will provide the findings of its investigation to the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office for review.
