UNDATED (KDAL) – The water level on Lake Superior declined by 8-tenths of an inch in March but is still 7.1 inches above the average.
The International Lake Superior Board of Control says the lake appears to be at its seasonal low point and expects levels to start rising again.
There continues to be an increased risk of shoreline erosion, lake shore flooding and coastal damage during periods of strong winds and high waves.
At the beginning of April, the lake is 7.1 inches below the levels of a year ago.
