DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Grandma’s Marathon officials have announced several planned changes to the races this year due to the continuing concerns about COVID-19.
The changes will put the event in compliance with Minnesota Department of Health guidelines and include limiting the in-person field to 50 percent capacity.
There will be a rolling start to the race, large fan gatherings are discouraged and the post race entertainment has been canceled.
Face coverings will be required throughout the event except for those running in the race.
The Health and Fitness Expo and the all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner will be held but modified from previous years.
More and updated information on the marathon and associated races scheduled for June 18 and 19 can be found at grandmasmarathon.com
