MT. IRON, MN (KDAL) – Two people from Virginia were airlifted to a Duluth hospital for treatment of injuries received in a single vehicle crash on Saturday night.
According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Department, the vehicle was heading westbound on Highway 101 in Mt. Iron when the driver failed to negotiate the T-intersection at the Wolf Road and crashed into several trees.
The identities of the 40 year old man and 43 year old woman have not been released and the extent of their injuries are unknown.
The accident, that occurred around 10:17 p-m, remains under investigation.
