DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Duluth Fire Department responded to a fire on the 2nd story of a single family dwelling in the 200 block of West Kent Road on Friday night.
The fire was reported by a neighbor who heard smoke detectors going off and alerted a resident of the home who was in the basement at the time.
The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported.
Heavy fire damage was reported in an upstairs bedroom and there was smoke damage throughout the house.
Damage was estimated at 50 thousand dollars and the cause is under investigation.
Three UMD students were displaced in the fire and are living with friends until repairs are made.
