NAMAKAN LAKE, MN (KDAL) – Four people were rescued by other boaters as their boat capsized on Namakan Lake in Voyageur National Park.
A variety of first responders were alerted as a 911 call came in just after 9 p-m on Sunday.
The four people, ranging in age from 42 to 7, were all wearing life jackets and uninjured. Three of the four were from Crystal, MN and the other from St. Paul.
They were taken to the Ash River Visitor Center.
The group was heading to a camp site in a boat that was overloaded with people and gear. It began taking on water and eventually capsized.
