TWO HARBORS, MN (KDAL) – Festivities this weekend in Two Harbors will celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the tugboat Edna G.
The ship was built in 1896 for the Duluth and Iron Range Railroad and was named after daughter of the company president.
The Edna G. was the last coal-fired tug on the Great Lakes when it retired from service in 1981.
A fish fry with live music is being held at the American Legion Post 109 starting Friday at 4:30 p-m.
Saturday and Sunday family friendly activities will be held at Paul Van Hoven Park which includes fireworks on Saturday night and a community picnic on Sunday.
