DULUTH, MN (KDAL) โ The 32nd Annual Twin Ports Region Thanksgiving Buffet will have a different look this year.
Instead of serving the meal at the DECC, the meals will be packed for pick-up at several locations or delivered to the home bound on Thanksgiving Day.
Hundreds of volunteers will be preparing about 5 thousand traditional meals of turkey and all the trimmings.
The meals are packed into individual serving containers and thanks to the generosity of the College of St. Scholastica, donors and community supporters are free.
Those who need the meal delivered should call 218-723-6484 by noon on November 19th. Because of the high volume, only those who are truly homebound should request a delivered meal.
Meals can be picked up at six area locations on Thanksgiving from 10 a-m to noon.
In Duluth at The Duluth Harbor Mission at 2910 West 3rd Street, the Damiano Center 206 West 4th Street, the Mission Creek Church 521 131st Avenue West and the First United Methodist Church at 230 East Skyline Parkway.
In Hermantown at the Peace In Christ Church 5007 Maple Grove Road and in Carlton at Volunteer Services of Carlton County, 199 Chestnut Avenue.
Left over food will be rescued by the 2nd Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank to be redistributed.
