DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Expected heavy snow and gusty winds has prompted the National Weather Service in Duluth to issue a Winter Storm Warning from 6 a-m to 9 p-m on Tuesday for the North Shore areas of Lake Superior in Lake and Cook Counties.
Snow totals of 4 to 10 inches and winds gusting to 45 miles per hour will make travel very difficult through the day.
The snow will be followed by a Wind Chill Advisory from 1 a-m to noon on Wednesday.
The rest of northeast Minnesota is under a Winter Weather Advisory for accumulations of 3 to six inches of snow Tuesday and a Wind Chill Advisory Wednesday morning.
The Twin Ports will see less snow but strong winds and cold temperatures and also a Wind Chill Advisory from 3 a-m to noon on Wednesday.
