SEOUL (Reuters) – South Korea’s Hyundai Motor Co has not decided when to resume operations at its assembly plant in Russia’s St Petersburg, it said on Friday, citing ongoing issues with components delivery.
“Safety of our employees and caring for our customers remains the utmost priority of Hyundai Motor. We sincerely hope the situation is resolved peacefully as soon as possible,” Hyundai Motor said in a statement, referring to the conflict in Ukraine that has prompted widespread Western sanctions against Russia.
Operations at Hyundai Motor’s assembly plant in St Petersburg have been suspended since March 1.
