TWO HARBORS, MN (KDAL) – The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has officially opened its newest state park campground.
Shipwreck Creek Campground at Split Rock State Park recently held a ribbon cutting featuring DNR Commissioner Sarah Strommen and other officials.
The facility offers 46 drive-in sites, a sanitation building and access to Lake County’s Split Rock Wilds mountain bike trail system and the Gitchi-Gami State Trail.
The campground opened to the public on June 1st and reservations can be made on the Minnesota DNR website.
