DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – A 55 year old man from Duluth was killed when he lost control of the vehicle he was driving on the Blatnik Bridge Friday evening.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the victim was northbound when he hit a median wall, over-corrected and hit a piece of construction equipment in the blocked off right lane.
The victim, identified as Todd Elton Tikka, was not wearing a seat belt.
The bridge is reduced to one driving lane in each direction this summer while crews are doing maintenance work.
