DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – A public meeting is being held on Tuesday by the St. Louis County Public Works Department regarding the proposal to construct roundabouts at a couple of intersections on the Rice Lake Road.
The reconstruction of the Rice Lake Road from the Ridgeview Road to a half mile north of the Martin Road has been studied by engineers for several years.
Since planned development and growth in the area will mean increased traffic volumes, they have developed several recommendations to improve operations and safety.
The recommendations include installing roundabouts at the intersections with the Calvary and Martin Roads.
Since funding has not been finalized, construction is likely several years away.
The designs will be shared with the public and input will be taken at the 6 p-m meeting Tuesday at the Rice Lake City Hall, 4107 Beyer Road.
