VIRGINIA, MN (KDAL) – A 39 year old Eveleth man, Torisa Wallace, was convicted of 3rd degree murder this week and sentenced to 11 years in prison.
The conviction was the result of an overdose death investigation by the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Offender Task Force in October of 2021.
33 year old Brooke Miller of Virginia overdosed and died due to the toxic effects of fentanyl and the evidence showed that Wallace had sold her the drugs on the day she died.
The Task Force is continuing to investigate numerous other overdose deaths and will relentlessly pursue those who are selling the deadly drug in the region.
