ST. PAUL, MN (KDAL) – Several state parks on the north shore and northern Minnesota will be partially closed to accommodate special deer hunts this fall.
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) says the hunts are meant to prevent an over population of deer and to protect resources.
During the days that are open for hunting, portions of the parks may remain open to non-hunters.
Visitors should check for hunt related information when they arrive and wear blaze orange or other brightly colored clothing.
The deadline to apply for the state park special deer hunt permits has passed.
