DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Instead of throwing your Halloween pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns into the trash, the UMD Sustainable Food Systems class and Land Lab are collecting them for composting.
Through Friday you can drop off your used pumpkins at two dedicated dumpsters on campus.
One is at the Bagley Nature Center on St. Marie Street and the other in Maroon Lot B by the Darland Administration Building.
Make sure candles or other decorations are removed from the pumpkins before placing them in the marked dumpsters.
