UPDATE: The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) has postponed this work until the week of March 20th because of recent and forecasted snow.
DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Changes begin on Tuesday for motorists navigating the Twin Ports Interchange project on I-35.
The southbound lanes will close from just north of Garfield Avenue to just past the 27th Avenue West exit.
Traffic will be routed over to the northbound lane in a two-way configuration for about two weeks.
During this period, crews will be installing bridge girders and decking over the southbound lanes.
With the southbound exit to 27th Avenue West closed, traffic will be detoured to 40th West and then back to the northbound 27th West exit.
The changes could be removed before March 24th in case of inclement weather or if construction is completed before then.
