(Reuters) – The U.S. Federal Reserve’s internal watchdog has launched a probe into the failure of Silicon Valley Bank, Bloomberg News reported on Tuesday, citing a spokesman.
The review by the Fed’s inspector general began on March 14 and is expected to span over six months to investigate the supervision of SVB by the Fed Board of Governors in Washington and examiners at the San Francisco Fed, Bloomberg said, citing the spokesman.
