DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Duluth Fire Department was dispatched to a water emergency at 800 Railroad Street near Pier B on Thursday morning.
The U-S Coast Guard, Duluth Police and St. Louis County Sheriff’s Department also responded to the scene around 8:30 a-m.
The first responders found a 47 year old man in the water clutching the remains of old Pier D.
The Coast Guard pulled the man from the water and he was transported to a local hospital for treatment of possible hypothermia.
He appeared to have no other injuries and how he ended up in the water was not disclosed.
