DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The City of Duluth will be resurfacing and reconfiguring 6th Avenue East between East 2nd Street and Mesaba Avenue next year.
A meeting to provide a schedule and layout for the project and get public feedback is being held on Thursday evening.
The planned work includes an asphalt overlay, ADA improvements for pedestrians and the reconfiguration of the roadway from a four lanes to three with a center turn lane and bike lanes on both sides.
According to the City, the road carries about 12 thousand vehicles per day.
The meeting, from 5 to 7 p-m Thursday (10/12), will be held at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
A presentation on the project begins at 5:30 and continues in an open house format with opportunities for discussion and input from the public.
