WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti’s office said on Monday that there would be a press conference on Tuesday with five other states to discuss a big-tech investigation.
The other states participating in the press conference are California, Colorado, Massachusetts, Nebraska and New Hampshire.
While Reuters could not determine the topic of the press conference, in November 2021 Tennessee joined seven other states to probe allegations Meta Platforms promoted its subsidiary Instagram to children despite potential harms.
Separately, Virginia’s attorney general’s office said on Monday that it would hold a press conference on Tuesday to update reporters on a similar probe into Meta.
