(Reuters) – United Airlines will resume flights to Tel Aviv, Israel from Newark, New Jersey on Nov. 24, a company spokesperson said.
The airline was one of several to suspend or scale back flights to or from Tel Aviv after a surprise attack by Hamas militants last month and a threat of escalating conflict raised safety concerns.
American Airlines temporarily suspended all flights to and from Tel Aviv through Dec. 4, while Delta Air Lines said it would cancel its flights between Tel Aviv and New York through Nov. 21
U.S. airlines normally run direct services from major cities including New York, Chicago, Washington, and Miami. Among the three U.S. carriers, United has the biggest exposure.
