DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – A 20 year old man from Duluth was on a furlough from the St. Louis County Jail where he was being held after being convicted of 2nd degree assault with a firearm.
On Sunday, his ankle monitor showed that he was in violation of the conditions of his furlough.
When Duluth Police located him in the 300 block of South 63rd Avenue West, he refused to exit the residence.
Officers set up a perimeter and began negotiating with the man, identified as 20 year old Matthew Closson.
After a short period, he surrendered and was taken into custody on a violation of probation warrant without incident.
