DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) has announced 18.1 million dollars for port development projects in the state.
A little over 7.5 million is going to the Duluth Seaway Port Authority for a project expected to cost 9.5 million.
The port will be demolishing some existing buildings including dilapidated grain elevators along with hazardous materials abatement, access road restoration and the installation of utilities to create a four acre lay-down area.
Concrete from the demolition will be recycled to reuse on site.
