DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – To create a better customer experience, the Duluth Airport Authority implemented a new parking system at the airport last year.
The system allowed for a contact free, cash-less payment from entry to exit.
Following a recent internal audit of the system, it was determined that some customers were over charged by five-tenths of a percent due to a calculation error.
The error amounted to a total of 7,643 dollars and affected 505 customers. Those individuals were refunded the amount that they were over charged.
Airport Executive Director Tom Werner apologized to those affected and says he was glad the issue was discovered and corrected.
