DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Those using I-35 between the Twin Cities and Duluth should expect traffic delays as several construction projects will be underway this summer.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) says drivers will encounter single lane head to head traffic near Hinckley through October and also south of Highway 210 in Carlton County until the end of August.
Delays will be more likely during peak weekend travel times, northbound on Friday afternoons and southbound on Sundays.
Lane closures are also likely at times during the Twin Ports Interchange project.
MnDOT again recommends using the zipper merge into a single lane and to consider driving during times when the traffic is lighter to avoid backups.
