DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The 14th Annual Duluth Dylan Fest will celebrate the 83rd birthday of Bob Dylan throughout the week starting Tuesday.
The legendary singer-songwriter was born in Duluth on May 24th in 1941 and grew up in Hibbing.
The highlight of the festival is the Bob Dylan Front Porch Birthday Party on Friday at the home where Dylan spent the first seven years of his life.
That event will feature comments from Duluth Mayor Roger Reinert and music from Greg Tiburzi.
On Tuesday, a Dylan Fest acoustic jam session is being held at the Carmody Irish Pub.
Wednesday features a Basement Tapes Band concert at Earthrider in Superior.
Other events include a historic Armory tour and a Dylan Fest Dance Party at Mr. D’s Bar and Grill on Saturday.
