DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Quick action by a neighbor and a rapid response by Duluth Firefighters kept damage to a minimum in a house fire early Tuesday morning.
The neighbor saw the fire in the 700 block of West 6th Street just after midnight and alerted the occupants of the house and then called 9-1-1.
Fire units arrived within three minutes of the call and were able to knock down the fire on the front steps and porch before it reached the interior of the house.
There were no injuries and the damage was estimated at 30 thousand dollars.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Duluth Fire Marshal’s Office.
