SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) – On Tuesday the Superior Environmental Services Division and the Douglas County Land and Water Conservation Department conducted a rain barrel workshop at the Superior Public Library.
Several pre-registered residents learned about the importance of reducing storm water runoff and rain barrel assembly. Each left with a new type of rain barrel that now includes a diverter kit.
The barrels can save rainwater for use on gardens, plants and trees reducing their overall water use and their water bill.
Funding for the barrels and workshop supplies came from the Wisconsin Land and Water Conservation Association Great Lakes grant.
