DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Employees at Midwest Communications in Duluth participated in the Salvation Army’s Media Ring Off during the week before Christmas.
Midwest was competing with four other media outlets to see who could raise the most money while bell ringing at the Salvation Army’s Red Kettles.
The volunteers from the Midwest radio stations brought in nearly a thousand dollars edging the folks at Northern News Now who finished second. Third place went to WDIO, FOX 21 was 4th and the Duluth News Tribune took 5th place.
Cyndi Lewis, the Salvation Army’s Community Engagement Director says the friendly competition brought in over 3200 dollars for the 2024 Red Kettle Campaign and looks forward to continuing the media challenge in 2025.
