DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Equipment failure due to the extremely cold temperatures was blamed for a power outage on Tuesday morning that affected over 2500 customers of Minnesota Power.
The outage began around 4:30 a-m in the Barnum, Moose Lake and Sturgeon Lake areas.
Additional line workers were called in to assist in responding to the outage and a helicopter was used to help find the issue.
Temperatures in the area were around 20 below zero during the outage and customer power was restored around 11 a-m.
