A rousing win for UMD on Friday night. And maybe the kind of game that wakes up a fanbase that’s, to be blunt, not come out in droves since the team stumbled out of the gates to start the season. Had nearly 6,000 paid for Friday, and most of the folks who showed up were more than engaged with the happenings on the ice.
With part of the gig being to sell tickets and get people excited about the product, the game Friday was a major step.
Max Plante’s two point game ran his point streak to seven straight. He now has 14 points in just ten games for UMD, a pace that leaves open the possibility of a 30-point freshman season even after missing 13 games (he’s currently on pace for 32).
Carter Loney goes to the top line, where he spent most of Friday, switching spots with Blake Bechen. No other changes.
Matt Davis goes in goal for Denver. No other changes.
