TUESDAY MORNING UPDATE: The Winter Storm Watch has been upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning from 7 p-m Tuesday to 7 p-m on Wednesday.
DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Another winter storm system is approaching the Northland and there is a good chance this one could dump at least 6 inches of snow in most areas and a chance for a foot or more along the North Shore.
Rain and freezing rain could limit the snow totals in northwestern Wisconsin.
The National Weather Service in Duluth has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Tuesday evening through late Wednesday night.
The heavy, wet snow could make travel very difficult to impossible and the hazardous conditions could impact Wednesday morning and evening commutes.
Easterly winds will develop and gust to 35 miles per hour.
Partly sunny skies return on Thursday with high temperatures in the low 40’s.
