SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) – There were two contested Superior City Council races on Tuesday’s Spring Election ballot.
In the 2nd District, Sarah Anderson took 53 percent of the vote to defeat the incumbent Jenny Van Sickle.
In District 6, the incumbent Tylor Elm easily topped his challenger, Randal Wuorinen, by 72 to 28 percent.
Shelly Moen and Kathryn Guimond were elected to the Superior School Board.
Statewide, the Democratic-backed Dane County Judge Susan Crawford was the winner of the open seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Crawford defeated Republican-backed former Wisconsin attorney general Brad Schimel.
While technically a nonpartisan race, it became the most expensive state Supreme Court race in history with over a hundred million dollars spent in support of both candidates.
Voters also approved adding the rule that requires a photo I-D to cast a ballot to the state constitution.
