VIRGINIA, MN (CBS-3) – Nine people are displaced after a Sunday morning apartment fire in downtown Virginia.
According to Friends of the Northland FireWire, the blaze started in the back of the building and spread to the second floor and then the attic.
Two Virginia firefighters reported minor injuries and two cats were rescued from the building.
The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents.
The Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office is assisting in determining the cause of the blaze.
